Bathroom Flooring: Cermic or LVT - what is the best option?

Both flooring options work great in bathrooms - So we offer both!  There are pros and cons to each, which will will explore in this section.

LVT is usually the best option for cost effectiveness.  No only is the initial material cost going to be less, it usually cost less to install AND less to replace/update in the future.  In terms of investment and increasing the value of your home, ceramic is seen as the more luxurious of the two floorings and can be better for resale value.

Let's talk Durability - LVT Durability has come A LONG way in recent years, with different selections being water resistant to fully water proof.  That being said, it is still difficult to match the toughness of ceramic tile, which can last up to 30-40 years without noticeable damage, compared to LVTs 10-15 year lifespan.  Another thing to consider when choosing between ceramic and LVT is ceramic's grout care - It often takes special care and maintenance to keep most grouts looking good over the years- Obviously you don't have this burden with LVT.

What type of shower walls should I choose for my bathroom remodel?

The Three Types of shower walls that we offer, and that we like best, are:  Fiberglass, Tile, and  Onyx.  Below we examine each,

Onyx:  We LOVE the appearance and the durability of onyx shower panels.   They have a natural stone look, but are very cost effective and are very easy to care for.   In addition to being less expensive than tile, it can be installed much quicker and can be customized just as easily to your space.

Tile:  This is going to be your more expensive and  luxurious finish on your shower wall.  in addition to having the most selection for color and design, it is also the longer lasting option and can really increase the value of your home.  One downside to using a tile finish in your shower is the upkeep of the grout.

Fiberglass: This is a great option for your shower if you are on a budget or would like to allocate more of your funds toward other areas that are more important to you like vanities, fixtures, and flooring.  If properly cared for, the fiberglass showers can last a long time - but sometimes they can be damaged or discolored easier than other options.
